Disclaimer: I dont own Ben 10/Alien Force or its characters.

Im still not so sure about this

Leaning sideways against the doorframe in his home, his arms folded across his chest as he looked back toward his wife–who was sat on the couch–with concern, Ben slowly shook his head, before continuing on.

I mean, Jesse there only had that laptop out all of what? An hour? And hes somehow miraculously figured out precisely which planet Len was taken to?

Now Ben, really, the redhead replied, standing up from the sofa and moving to walk toward him as she spoke, her hands moving to rest at her hips as she did. Youre complaining because hes good at his job? Honey, he was sent to us because he supposed to be really, really good at what he does. And the fact that he was able to track down the human to alien ratio radar patterns to the point of pin-pointing one specific planet that was holding a young, female humans signals is pretty impressive, dont you think?

Look, Ben replied, again shaking his head. What if hes wrong though? What if hes pin-pointed precisely the wrong planet? What if the right planet is half way across the universe from this wrong one, and what if, by the time we get to the right one, its too late to save Len?

Well now really, if all that were the case–if I was that bad at my job–dont you think that the agency would have fired me by now?

Looking over toward the direction of the hallway from which Jesse was now emerging, having just left the restroom hed asked to use moments beforehand, Ben scowled slightly as he watched the teen approach him.

There you go, giving me that look again, the long-armed young man said with a sigh, before bringing a palm to his face as he spoke to Ben. I mean, sorry for listening in and all that, but wow, ye of little faith indeed, huh?

I just want to know that my daughter will be safely rescued Ben replied, before scowling again as he watched the raven-haired teen roll his eyes.

I get that, dude, Jess replied a moment later, his hands gesturing about as he spoke. I mean seriously, what makes you think that I want to find her any less than you anyway? Im not the bad guy here–I didnt take your kid–Im on your side, and Im trying to help you take the right steps to get in contact with her.

Smiling at Jesse in an approving fashion as she heard him say all of this, Gwen moved a hand forth, before patting him on the shoulder and saying, Dont mind Ben, hes just terrified out of his mind about finding our Len. He doesnt really mean all of the negative things hes said about you.

Moving her arm to now elbow her husband in the ribs, Gwen cleared her throat slightly and repeated, Like I said, you dont really mean what youve said about Jesse not being qualified right? Its just your frustration talking?

Yeah, sure, frustration, Ben mumbled, before turning and opening up the front door and heading on outside.

Sooo, Mrs. T, Jesse said following this, addressing Gwen with the abbreviated christening he had first come up with close to half an hour beforehand. Any idea why your dear old husband there hates me?

Like I said Jess, he really doesnt hate you. He isnt even really angry, just so, so terrified about what might have happened to our little girl

Shrugging slightly, the dark-haired teen proceeded to follow Gwen on out of the house after Ben, before saying to her, Meh, if he doesnt trust me, I cant help it. At least you like me, Mrs. T. And don’t worry, nothing’s happened to your kid, and nothing’s gonna happen to her. You do believe me right?

That I do, the redhead replied, glancing back to smile at the teen as they both approached the garage building that was beside the house itself. You know, actually, more on that point, you kind of remind me of someone, Jess

Oh?

Yeah just Im not entirely sure of who exactly…

Huh, he replied, walking along with her still as they both entered on into the garage that Ben had just gone into. Weird.

You wont keep me on this stupid planet forever!

Struggling to break free from the grasp of two of Ylgars finest alien guards as they frog-marched her on back toward what was supposedly a larger cell than the cage shed been in, Len lifted her feet from the ground, before kicking at either of them in turn, her arms never ceasing their movements as she tried to break free.

Whatever you to think to help you sleep better at night, dolly, one of the guards said to her in reply to her exclamation, the other letting go as he himself forcibly shoved the teenageder on into the cell, so hard that she smacked with an oomph against the wall.

Hey, watch it Jagger! the second alien exclaimed, his yellow-toned eyes wide as he gave a smack to the back of his fellow guard mates head. His majesty said she was to be un-harmed!

Eh, whats a bruise or two? he replied with a shrug, turning to look back and smirk at Len once more, before leaving the room with his far less enthused seeming friend.

Glancing around her new, larger, more furnished area of confinement, Len stepped over to sit down on the side of the bed in the room, her right hand moving to rub at the bruise that she was sure must be on left shoulder after the shove into the wall.

Well this is at least better than the cage she mused aloud, before sighing and hanging her head, her long blonde hair falling to hang down at either side of her face. But still, its not like I can stay in this place or something. Ive just gotta find a way out. I refuse to be held prisoner like this Gah! If only I had a watch like that one Dad always told me stories about, or if only Id inherited Moms Anodite powers but nooo, of course not. Im just me, just plain, powerless me.

Precisely, my dear.

Feeling a thrill of surprise run up her spine at the sound of being spoke to, Len whipped her head around suddenly, before make a non-distinct sound of disgust as she found herself looking back at Ylgar.

Not to be rude, young Earthling adolescent he continued on, either not noticing or not caring about his prisoners clear disdain for him as she returned his gaze with a scathing look. But you are quite right–as far as Ive been able to tell in all these years of monitoring your development on Earth, youve never really shown any particular powers–this fact, of course, makes the situation all the more beneficial to me, for it makes me all the more certain that it shant be long before your father makes his appearance here, attempting, albeit in vain, to rescue you.

It will not be in vain! Len shouted back, balling her hands into fists as she stood from the bed and ran up to the caged door of the cell, before commencing to pound at the bars thereof, not caring about the discomfort it caused her. Do you hear me, whoever you are?! I dont care why you have me here, but I can assure you, my dad is the greatest man on the face of the earth and he will come and save me and take me back home!

Ah, Ylgar replied, his now all too familiar smile with its sinister air evident on his face once more as he stepped up to the bars of the cell door, his eyes wide as he peered back at Len. But havent you noticed the technicality there, dear? Youre not on the face of the Earth anymore.

Turning the key in the ignition of the vehicle he sat in within the garage, Ben slowly pulled his seatbelt down across his chest and waist, before clicking it into place. With a glance over at Gwen, he smiled, before saying, Grandpa told us that he left us this reinforced Rustbucket for a reason. Guess it was in case of emergencies like this.

Standing behind Gwens seat, Jesse, who had one hand grasped onto the headrest, arched an eyebrow as his eyes scanned over all of the different buttons and screens that littered up the dashboard. So lemme get this straight–this vehicle is supposed to fly us off into outer space? Will it not burn to a crisp upon attempting to leave earths atmosphere?

Did you not just hear me say reinforced, Agent Myrick?

Yes, Client Tennyson, the punk replied, sneering as he glared at the back of Bens head. I certainly did. That does not, however, quell my fears of becoming liquefied all because dear old Max Tennyson told you to take his word for it that this vehicle would suffice.

Pulling on out of the garage, Ben waited until he had turned out of the yard and onto the road before speaking again.

Soo how do you know that our Grandfather was named Max?

Uh, they spent hours filling me in on your situation, remember? Jesse replied scoffingly, before moving to cross his arms. It happens with every agent assigned to a specific mission–we get all of the info, its only necessary after all. Just yikes, when are you gonna stop thinking Im the bad guy in this?

I never said you were a, a bad guy Ben replied, taking in a slight breath, before glancing on back over to Gwen and adding, Make sure your seatbelt is locked tightly and securely, honey. Well be reaching the field any moment.

Gotcha, she replied, before gesturing to her already fastened seatbelt and glancing back to the young man standing behind her. You should go back and take a seat too, Jess. Make sure youre strapped in all nicely so that no accidents happen when the Rustbucket 4 here takes off into orbit.

Feeling very much as if he were surrounded by mad people, the dark haired teen slowly navigated his way back to the end of the R.V., before taking a seat and doing as was told, by fastening a seatbelt about himself.

All ready? Ben called aloud, suddenly taking a detour from the main road to instead tear off through a wheat field.

Ready for what exactly? Jesse called back, sounding thoroughly petrified even if he was doing his best to cover it up.

For take off! Ben exclaimed, before emitting a loud whooping sound and revving the engine of the Rustbucket, laughing at the sound of the agent in the backs terrified yelps as the Rustbucket 4 elevated suddenly, before shooting up and off toward the starry night sky.
