A
New Adventure

Recap:
She looked at him with heartbreaking eyes, Hes gone Zane
is- -She couldnt bring herself to even think it.

Max kneeled
beside her and patted her head. Gwen and Ben just stood there in
utter confusion.

Grandpa,
who is she? Ben and Gwen said in unison. : End of Recap

Not now,
lets go somewhere safe, okay? Max tried to help the sobbing
girl up, but she wouldnt move. You used a lot of power right?

Without looking
up Kayla nodded her head. She wanted to, but couldnt find the
strength to do anything. She wanted to see her brother appear before
them, just like she had. But she sadly knew it wouldnt happen.

The tears
clouding hear vision was getting worse, fazing from teary to dark.
Her eyes started to drupe, as the rest of her body felt weak and
exhausted.

Ben, help me
get her to the- -Kayla clasped, her power expelling from her body
throwing Ben and Gwen back a little. Ben, Gwen we need to get her
to the rust bucket!

The got to the
rust bucket as soon as possible, Ben ended up carrying this new girl
all the way on piggy-back. Max helped him set her on one of the bunks
then Gwen asked, Will you tell us who she is now?

Max paused to
look at his grand kids and then said, Her name is Kayla, shes a
princess from another world.

So, shes
an alien. Gwen stated as she gazed at the unconscious girl on the
bed.

No, well in
technicalities yes, but the world she comes from the people are all
human. So shes like an alien from another country. Max tried to
explain to them.

So, she is
and isnt an alien. Am I getting this right? Ben rubbed
his temples, trying to process the sudden information. Max nodded his
head.

If you want
to know about my world just ask me. Kayla said to them quietly
and sleepily, she stared at the ceiling, her eyes looked so sad.

Okay then,
what happened to you? Where are you from? Gwen asked, she sat down
in front of her to listen better. Kayla looked up to watch Gwen, sit
down before she began.

Its rather
long story Im from Zaeli-ya, Earths sister planet. I came here
to get away from my father Kayla paused; she looked into Gwens
strong gaze, then she look to Max, as if asking if it was alright to
continue her story. He nodded.

My older
brother, Zane, was going to come with me, but he forced me to come
alone. Kayla finished, she didnt want to go into, to much
detail.

Why did he do
that? Ben asked her, wanting her to continue.

She bit her lip,
not wanting to say it, but she did anyway.

My father was
going to kill me but now Zane is-is She started to sob
again. Kayla felt like she was drowning in tears. Her head fell more
into the pillow; her tears being absorbed.

Ben and Gwen
tried to comfort her, but nothing worked.

I thought
I thought I handled it the last time I guess I was wrong. Max
started, Come; let us take you somewhere safe. This time, I wont
let your father have you back. Max stood up again, and then
helping Kayla up. Gwen stood up as well, and then they were ready to
go.

Where are we
going to take her, its not like she could stay here! Gwen
informed her cousin.

We could go
to your place, Gwen. You can ask if she can stay over. Ben
suggested.

And what will
I tell my parents? Gwen questioned him.

He shrugged,
Tell them shes youre Pen Pal! The idea popped in his head
suddenly. You can tell them she stopped by unexpectedly. Gwen
rolled her eyes, and she turned to face Kayla.

Kaylas eyes
were closed, her eye lashes graced her tear stained face. I want
to hear his voice I want to hear his laugh again! She mumbled
so softly, they almost didnt hear her. Her silver eyes suddenly
popped open, Um could you, please tell me your names? she
had a small blush coming from her face. Kayla felt rude not knowing
their names, while they knew hers.

Im Gwen,
this is my cousin- Ben, Thats our grandfather, his name is- –

Oh, I know
who Sai-ha (Say-ha) is, his name is Maxwell- or Max! Kayla chirped
as she sat up. Do you mind if I ask you to call me Kiki? She
asked rather quickly, started to play with the hem of her pale-blue
dress. She looked like she was uncomfortable on the bunk.

Um, sure?
Ben said, with confusion ringing in his voice.

What does
that mean? Gwen asked Kayla, What does Sai-ha mean? She
asked more bluntly.

It means
um. She had to think for a moment. Oh, it means guardian or
protector! Kayla answered.

How do you
know our grandpa? Ben asked, understanding a little bit of
whats going on.

Kayla looked
thoughtful for a moment then replied. He saved my from my father
once it was the first time I teleported, and my father was furious
with me. It was an accident, but he thought I did it on purpose.

I was four
years old, and Zane was nine. We had just celebrated his birthday
just last week. Father loved Zane, and neglected me. I never once
hated Zane, or was jealous that he got all fathers love, because I
knew I was special to him. My brother gave me all the love Id
needed.

One
day

A servant in
the castle told me that father wished to see me. I hoped that he was
finally happy with something that I did. But a feeling told that was
wrong.

I grabbed my
teddy bear, and walked to his study, thats where father waits to
talk to everyone. I went inside, with hopeful eyes. Was he finally
proud of me? I opened the door slowly, trying not to make much noise.
He hated lots of noise.

Father,
are you in here? I called softly, but loud enough to here. I got
no reply, but I walked in anyways, closing the door behind me as I
went.

I hugged my
teddy bear tightly, I never liked being alone, and I defiantly hated
being here alone. I walked further into fathers study,
looking around incase he didnt hear me.

There were
shelves with, what seemed to me like thousands of books. I stared in
awe, my mouth hung open and my eyes slightly widened. The large
marble walls had pictures and paintings of mother.

Wow, I
never knew how pretty mother was! I gasped. I looked at the
paintings; mother had long black hair and ice blue eyes. Her smile
was warm and beautiful; it made me smile just looking at it.

What are
you doing in here!? fathers cold voice came from behind
me.

I quickly
turned to face him I was startled by fathers sudden appearance. I
couldnt breathe when I saw his terrifyingly angry face.

I- I was
told to come here I stuttered, my voice was so quite. I
squeezed my teddy bear tighter.

Who told
you to come here? He asked with a smirk, and I
couldnt answer him. The servant was one I didnt recognize. Had
he planed this? Of course he had, when he wasnt ignoring me, hed
go find ways to punish me for things I never did.

Well
are you going to answer me, or is this the proof I need? He gave,
what to me seemed like an evil laugh. He took my teddy bear from my
grasp. Oh, and you have an accomplice! He chuckled louder.

Give me
back Jellybean!! I cried out my order.

And what
on Zaeli-ya will happen if I dont? Hmm? He asked me, in a much
more serous tone.

Give him
back!! I screamed this time. My eyes sealed shut so tears
wouldnt fall. I hated crying in front of my father. I
want him back now!! My powers were filled in my emotions when I
screamed this time. Father was thrown into a bookshelf, causing
others to fall. Most of the pictures of mother fell to the ground,
and smashed. Pages of books went flying, but during the chaos, I was
never harmed and it didnt stop until my powers guided my teddy
bear to me.

The moment I
got my teddy bear back I squeezed it tightly, never wanting it to
leave. I was so happy I got my teddy bear back, I didnt notice my
father stand up- at least not until he started an inhuman growl. My
eyes widen when I herd him chant, I- Im so sorry!! I didnt

He grabbed my
arm, then used his powers to burn me. It made me scream, and I
dropped Jelly Bean to protect him.

Run

It was the
first time I heard the whispers I thought it was my mind playing
tricks on me, from all my pain.

Protect
yourself!

This time it
was more, harsh, like a demand. How can I? Could I? I was crying,
I wished Zane was here, I hated it here! I want to run- leave
forever- and never ever look back. Then it happened, I
disappeared from my fathers grasp.

He was
furious; when I disappeared he destroyed Jelly Bean, burning him to
ashes. He took a handful of the ashes got a universe map (a small
blue-gray stone-like thing, that when you touch a hologram of whole
universe appears- stop touching the hologram disappears.) and
enchanted the ashes, I knew he had to find me, for reputations
prepossess.

So, what
happened next?

Seeing that see
didnt want to answer Max did it for her, It didnt end
well.

Id say
I remember that gossip It may have been old, but she is one of the
last changers. Am I right? Kevin appeared at the door of
the RV, then walked over to Gwen.

Kayla nodded her
head, But that doesnt mean Im not human! She reminded.

When did you
get here? Ben asked, throwing a pillow at him.

Kevin caught the
pillow and shrugged, Somewhere when the teddy bear got snatched.
He took the chance to sit down before anymore questions were asked.
And before you ask another question, I came here
cause Gwen texted me.

Um Whats
your name?

They looked at
Kayla, Gwen gave a small nervous laugh, and Ben felt bad for not
introducing her even if it was just Kevin.

Kevin. He
told her short, simple, and blunt.

Kevin? Are
you that boy that helped Toitic(Toy-Tic) army steal from my home?
She asked with a spark of anger in her voice.

He scooted as
far as he could from her, Maybe

Her jaw dropped,
You are!! How could you!? My kingdom worked for generations
to earn what you stole!! She practically
screamed at him. As her temper span the RV started shake, then
realizing it was the ground shaking, an earth quake.

As Kevin, Gwen,
and Ben grabbed onto something, Max tried to make his way to a
certain drawer, one he always kept closed from Ben. Kayla,
chocolate! He opened the rapper to prove he had it.

It was instant,
the moment she smelt the chocolate, the earth quake had stopped. It
had clamed her instantly. Thats the sad thing about any World
Changer, no mater what race, they all loved chocolate,
it calmed them all.

Kayla smiled,
Chocolate? Her voice sounded sly and cunning.

Kayla sat
relaxed, nibbling on her chocolate with rappers all around her
showing how easy she got pissed at Kevin; Gwen and Ben were a little
hesitant to come near her again, and Kevin was literally forced to
apologize to Kayla, and Max had to go to a market to make sure he had
enough chocolate to keep Kayla happy.

So why
chocolate? Ben finally asked, the question was eating him
alive!

No one really
knows why Kevin answered him.

Especially,
since most alien races cant even touch the stuff! Kayla
finished off what Kevin started to say, making him glare at her. She
personally didnt care.

This is
whats bugging me, wheres your mark? Kevin asked approaching
her.

Kayla set her
half eaten chocolate bar down, and then took off her right shoe and
sock. There it was her curse in the shape of a jagged spiral with
a small dot in the middle.

There it is
the symbol that cruses me. Her eyes were looked so sad.

Gwen gave her
back her chocolate, Can I ask a question? Kayla nodded. Why
does your father hate you? Kayla filched.

I killed my
mother Kaylas head fell, her tears returning.

Ben and Gwen
stared at her with confused looks.

She means her
mother died giving birth, every female dies giving birth to a world
changer. Kevin said rolling his eyes. When Ben opened his moth he
said, Yes that includes if they hatch from eggs. Ben then shut
his mouth to a pout.

Gwen rolled her
eyes at the boys, Do you think we can help? I mean with you and
you father, there has to be something? Gwen pressed.

Kayla looked up
with tear a stained face, The only thing I know is that in two
months I become sixteen, he cant touch me. Not even with a sealing
spell.

What happens
in two months? Ben asked.

I become
sixteen and naturally master my powers. Kayla told them.

Whats a
‘sealing spell‘? Kevin asked.

A spell that
blocks all your power, and kills you, my father tried to use it on
me, but ended up Kayla trailed off, never finishing her
sentence and setting down her candy bar for good.

Guess we got
a new adventure, huh? Ben smiled.

Guess so.

Huh, what did
you say? I wasn’t paying attention. Kayla blinked.
